The newest addition to the superb restaurant collection at CityPlace will be Wild Olives by celebrity chef and best-selling author, Todd English. The full-service, 3,600-square-foot restaurant and wine bar is a joint venture with South Florida restaurateur Lirim Jacobi, and is expected to open in mid-November on South Rosemary Ave., just north of Macy*s. The menu will incorporate fresh, organic ingredients to create a multitude of memorable dishes, such as thin-crust flatbreads, homemade pastas, fresh salads, paninis, couscous and risottos with distinctive Mediterranean and Italian influences.
"Todd English has established a culinary brand that attracts food connoisseurs from around the world," said Jacobi, who also owns Taverna Opa, City Pizza and Wild Ginger Asian Bistro at CityPlace. "There's no question that the restaurant collection at CityPlace will get another big boost from his devoted followers, and further strengthens the property's status as a compelling dining destination in South Florida. English plans to take an active role in the restaurant and host regular book signings and special events."
Todd English has become one of the most decorated and respected chefs in the world. Classically trained and inspired by his Italian heritage, he was named National Rising Star Chef in 1991 and Best Chef in the Northeast in 1994 by the James Beard Foundation.
